Environment Georgia announced today their endorsement of Jon Ossoff in his bid to represent Georgia’s 6th Congressional District.
Jon Ossoff’s active and expressed support of Environment Georgia’s work--fighting for open space, clean air, clean water and clean energy--led to today’s endorsement.
“Environment Georgia’s members and supporters believe that defending our environment requires independent research, tough-minded advocacy, and spirited grassroots action. Jon Ossoff’s campaign exemplifies these very ideals,” said Jennette Gayer, Environment Georgia’s Director.
“We have no doubt that he will put the health and well-being of Georgians first by championing renewable energy development and by voting in Congress to protect our air and water. From the beautiful Georgia coast to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, we know that Jon Ossoff will fight back with Environment Georgia as polluters push for rollbacks and cuts.
Georgia has made some real and meaningful progress in building a solar industry that provides our state with homegrown clean energy and good jobs. Georgians must maintain and accelerate this progress. That is why Environment Georgia is encouraging voters to flip the 6th by supporting Jon Ossoff on April 18th.”
Environment Georgia protects the places we love, advances the value we share, and wins real results for our environment.
