Thank you for your interest in internships with Environment Georgia. We are looking for smart, political and hard-working students to help us work for clean air, clean water, green spaces and clean energy.
You can help in our effort. Learn grassroots organizing skills and work on the front lines of the fight for Georgia’s environment. Skills may include:
Media - Interns learn to use a variety of news media and public forums to educate the public about our campaigns. Write news releases and letters to the editor, contact reporters, and help organize press conferences.
Coalition-Building – Help build broad-based coalitions of community and environmental groups to support our campaigns.
Research - Interns help produce background materials, surveys, and reports for a campaign, and design strategies for publicizing research results.
Grassroots Organizing - Recruit students and community members to build support for our campaigns. Organize petitioning efforts and call-in days to decision-makers urging them to vote to protect the environment.
Our internships offer students the opportunity to learn about problems affecting our environment while getting hands-on experience in the fight to save our planet. The Environment Georgia Internship Program bridges classroom studies with real world experiences.
We have opportunities available for qualified undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants should show a strong commitment to Environment Georgia’s issues, strong writing and analytical skills, the ability to debate and speak persuasively and an enthusiasm for the work.
To apply, send a resume and compelling cover letter to Environment Georgia Internship Coordinator via fax at (404) 892-5201 or via e-mail at info@environmentgeorgia.org.
